Quantifying dynamical coherence with coherence measures

چکیده
Quantum coherence, like entanglement, is a fundamental resource in quantum information. In recent years, remarkable progress has been made formulating theory of coherence from broader perspective. The notions block-coherence and POVM-based have established. Certain challenges, however, remain to be addressed. It difficult define incoherent operations directly, without requiring states, which proves major obstacle establishing the dynamical coherence. this paper, we overcome limitation by introducing an alternate definition operations, induced via measures, quantify based on definition. Finally, apply our proposed

Quantifying coherence with quantum addition
Quantum addition channels have been recently introduced in the context of deriving entropic power inequalities for finite dimensional quantum systems. We prove a reverse entropy power equality which can be used to analytically prove an inequality conjectured recently for arbitrary dimension and arbitrary addition weight. We show that the relative entropic difference between the output of such a...
متن کاملFuzzy coherence measures
Coherence measures are a tool to compare those fuzzy sets that are sensitive to their own similarity as well as to their fuzzy nature. Within this article we can find three generalizations made about the definition of coherence measures: a first one for any fuzzy set, a second one for any definition about strong negation, and a final one for an extension in those coherence measures that, as a r...
متن کاملEvaluating topic coherence measures
Topic models extract representative word sets—called topics—from word counts in documents without requiring any semantic annotations. Topics are not guaranteed to be well interpretable, therefore, coherence measures have been proposed to distinguish between good and bad topics. Studies of topic coherence so far are limited to measures that score pairs of individual words. For the first time, we...
متن کاملProbabilistic coherence measures: a psychological study of coherence assessment
Over the years several non-equivalent probabilistic measures of coherence have been discussed in the philosophical literature. In this paper we examine these measures with respect to their empirical adequacy. Using test cases from the coherence literature as vignettes for psychological experiments we investigate whether the measures can predict the subjective coherence assessments of the partic...
متن کاملCoherence Preservation: A Threat to Probabilistic Measures of Coherence
This thesis proposes a new requirement that probabilistic measures of coherence should ideally satisfy. This requirement is called ‘coherence preservation’. Probabilistic measures of coherence build on the idea that coherence is the mutual support between elements of a set. Using the requirement of coherence preservation, one may reevaluate mainstream probabilistic coherence measures, and draw ...
